Co-Founders, Matt Calvert and Joe Caligiuri met over 15 years ago as teammates of the Brandon Wheat Kings. Although their hockey careers went in different directions, they stayed connected through their passion towards hockey – and not just the game, the heart behind the game, the players.
Over the past three years, Joe has been an active NHLPA Certified Player Agent, and represented Matt during the last year of his career, which was cut short due to an injury. After retiring from professional hockey in a career that spanned over 11 seasons, Matt continued to be heavily involved in the sport by coaching at the major junior level.
Both driven on the importance of integrity, they combined their unique backgrounds to create a sports agency with services designed for the modern athlete.
Matt’s playing experience and knowledge of the game will allow him to mentor and develop clients throughout various stages of their career. Joe, as a practising lawyer who specializes in litigation and labour/employment law, will be able to provide professional expertise on the business side of hockey and help make the complexities of the NHL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement clear.
